  4. Welcome to Anim@X. This Anim@X collection includes more than 100 animated 
  5. images. These images are a sample of our ever growing library containing 
  6. more than 6,000 web ready action images. These images cover a wide 
  7. variety of categories and styles. Anim@X is extremely easy to use.
  8. Why use Anim@X animated images? When you add animation to your web site, 
  9. you improve the ability of the reader to focus on important areas of your 
  10. site. In the same way color improves the comprehension of your message, 
  11. movement on your screen directs the viewers eye to something that is 
  12. supposed to be important. These images have been carefully crafted and 
  13. selected to help you capture the viewers attention and keep it. Many of 
  14. these images are created on both black and white backgrounds so the edge 
  15. selection will appear correct when a variety of background colors are 
  16. selected. If you have PageMill or a web browser then you have all the 
  17. tools necessary to add action to your web site.

  19. These images are provided in CompuServe GIF format.
  20. The GIF image animations are provided as a 1 file solution. By selecting 
  21. one file and placing it on your web page you are placing a multi frame 
  22. animation sequence on your page. If your browser supports GIF images it 
  23. should load normally.

  25.  Platform Compatibility: This CD-ROM library is designed to support both 
  26. Windows and Macintosh hardware.

  28.  Software Compatibility: We recommend that you use Adobe PageMill as a 
  29. viewer for Anim@X. However, since this collection is provided as HTML 
  30. pages, you may view in your favorite web browser.  To start using the Anima@X 
  31. sampler images, launch either your web browser application, Adobe Pagemill or 
  32. Adobe Sitemill. Open the document entitled "Index.html".

  34. You can open or place animated GIF images into Adobe PageMaker 6.5 files. However, 
  35. you'll get the full benefit from the animated GIF images when they're incorporated 
  36. into web pages. Neither Adobe Illustrator nor Adobe Photoshop support animated GIF 
  37. images.
